Join us for October’s Discovery Day - Community Wellness Day!

• Browse wellness items and workshops with curated vendors from The Collective for Community Wellness in the event space.

• Enjoy the peaceful reservoir with free canoe sessions hosted by Philadelphia Outward Bound School (first come, first served) and hourly tour tours with Audubon Mid-Atlantic.

• Environmental and Community Resource Fair - come learn about organizations and opportunities that promote wellness of both people and the environment in Philadelphia.

• Fall Foliage Fest - Learn about how to identify fall leaves and trees and plant a new tree on our trail with Audubon Mid- Atlantic and PA Master Watershed Stewards. (Advance registration will be required for this event.)

Come learn alongside fellow nature enthusiasts by enhancing the 37-acre Strawberry Mansion Reservoir habitat people, birds, and other wildlife at the Discovery Center.

Ready to get your hands dirty? Help us remove invasive plants and plant native shrubs and trees along our trailhead and challenge course area. Looking for a more relaxed adventure? Join us inside to fill native seed packets for distribution in our Visitor Center Seed Library.

All tools and instructions will be provided at the start of the workday - no prior experience needed! Please dress for the weather and wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety.
